Quantified benefits of VM Hardware v4 vs v7?

Hi, has anyone come across an analysis of the relative performance of virtual machine hardware version 4 vs 7?

I heard anecdotally the Network driiver is 300% better - but I'm looking for a real world quantified analysis - eg how much faster will a virtual apache server be with v7 vs v4

Not all apaches are the same. You have to measure performance of your VMs. You can clone one VM and upgrade to hardware v7 to compare.
