Provision new disk for VM from ... VM

Hello,

(I am not sure if this is proper forum for these type of questions - if not could you recommend me which one would be better ?)

we have several VMs (Linux) under ESXI5. I would like to add disks to these VMs. Is it possible to install any software on these

Linux servers which will allow me using CLI to add those disks from inside VMs (of course with authentication) ?

Hi przemol10,

Welcome to the Community.

You can have PowerCLI installed in one of the VM's and connect to the the ESXi Server and Add disks to VM's.

Its possible through linux machines too but is not supported.

Check this link for Linux   http://www.cloud-buddy.com/?p=1218

For Windows machines vSphere PowerCLI Documentation

You could try RVC.

So in general the only supported "remote" language is Ruby ?
