I have VMware ESXi 7.0.0. This question is regarding Processor temperature. The temperature is shows as below;
Sensor: Processor 1 Temp
Health: Green
Current Reading: 78 degrees C**
** Reading changes between 71 to 78 most of the time.
The hardware is as below;
Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
Model: PowerEdge R440
CPU: 16 CPUs x Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 5218 CPU @ 2.30GHz
Questions:
Can we determine what the "safe" operating temperature limits are for this processor? It is running between 70-78 degrees consistently. Is that going to damage the processor?
I tried to search for any limits or safe temperature ranges but couldn't find any.. Appreciate your kind assistance on this.
