Problems with the Filter of hostd.log

Hello,

we are using the Nagios Appliance for monitoring our virtual environment. The NRPE is working fine but it leaves a lot of event entries in the hostd.log.

Is it possible to filter out the events regarding NRPE?

We tried to add following string to the /etc/vmware/logfilters "3 nagios" sadly without success.

Any hints or ideas?

regards tuensel2k

Try to use following string

3 .*nagios.*

and restart the vmklogger by command

killall -HUP vmklogger

Logfilters can not give you the desired functionality Smiley Sad

It is designed to filter out only the duplicate rows. Since the log is accompanied by several different rows in the log file, the filtering does not occur.
