Problems with a VM seeing the Domain

I have a new ESXi box with two VMs running on it. They have had no problem pinging out, grabbing DHCP or allowing me to come in and RDP to them AND authenticate with my account. And to clarify its a 2K8 32 bit box, if it makes a difference.

The problem is that when I try to rename the server, it takes my credentails and then says network can't be found. Any ideas on anything in networking thta could cuase this or am I looking at some other issue outside ESXi?

Thanks in advance for any help and I work nights so I will respond when I get up.

I have a similar problem with VMs created under ESXi 4.0U1 when I upgraded to 4.1. The VMs would come on line, grab an IP address from DHCP and act as they had under 4.0U1. However, I could not log on using any domain account. I was able to solve this by leaving the domain and then rejoining it. Interestingly I used the domain admin account to leave the domain and it was recognized even though I couldn't originally even log onto the VM with it.
