Problems getting correct version in ESX 4 update 1

I recently upgraded our environment to vSphere 4 update 1. That iso is build 208167. I've used update manager to apply all critical and non critical updates available on all servers and vCenter (also v4 update 1) says I'm on build 244038 for all my ESX servers.

But if I login via SSH and su to root and run vmware -v it only shows 208167 as the build. Is there a command or file I can look at the accurately reflects my current build?

Thanks,

Vince

Thanks, that's the answer, I still don't like it. Wish they'd do something better.

Once again thanks.
