Hi,
During
automatic deployment of ESX server 4.0 with a ks.cfg file on a virtual machine,
an error message appears during “mount-cdrom”:
-> cmp :
/mnt/source/build_number : No such file or directory
It appears
5 times then the load of drivers continue and just after, the installation stop
with this message:
umount:
cannot umount /mnt/source: Invalid argument
umount: cannot umount /mnt/media: No such file or directory
Insert the ESX Installation media
Press <enter> when ready...
This
message appears as well as I use the .iso mounted by Workstation or by software
like Daemon Tools.
I can see
all the boot messages that I have parameter, the ks.cfg file too because I can
correct the syntax bugs, the install start normally (drivers for example…)…that
allow me to say that the cdrom is normally detected but it seems to miss
something.
I have
modify, between original .iso downloaded on the VMWare website and my personalized
version, only the isolinux.cfg file and add ks.cfg and boot.msg files that I place in the
repertory isolinux\.
I try to
modify my ks.cfg file to create the missing repertory but it doesn’t change
anything and I don’t see what to do now.
It could
come from the creation of my .iso but I follow the normally process to create
it with Imgburn.
Thanks for
your answers
Hum what a strange thing?:|
