Dear,
I've installed ESXi 4.1 update 1 on a HP Proliant DL380 G6.
When I try to create a new RH 5.5 (64 bit) VM installation failed.
When I check the event log I've the following message:
A virtual CPU has entered the shutdown state.
For info, I have a Windows XP VM running on this server.
Thanks to help me.
Did you enabled the CPU Virtualization in server BIOS? That need to be configured in BIOS physical ESX server to create 64-bit virtual machines.

Zenariga, Yes CPU is enable for virtualization.
Here the BIOS options:

Intel(R) Virtualization technology - Enabled
Intel(R) Hyperthreading Options - Enabled
Processor Core Disable - All core Enabled

I've also installed ESXi update 02 but problem is the same 😞 thanks for help.
