Problem in running ESX3.5 on VMware Worlstation 7.0.1

Hai,

I am trying to create a lab on my desktop computer. I have installed Workstation 7.0 and installed ESX 3.5, the installation was completed succesfully. But it is not running the ESX. I have edited the .vmx file properly. My desktop configurations are 3Gb RAM. Intel Dual core 3.0 Ghz processor, Enough Harddisk.

Hi Vivari,

Really You don't want to edit anything in vmx file.

Just use this article from xtravirt.http://xtravirt.com/xd10004 . Select the guest Opearating system as per this article. Everything will be fine.
