Problem! Some Extents missing (iSCSI Setup)

Hi,

i have abig problem with my new installed vSphere ESX 4 Host.

I use the SW iSCSI Initiator to connect to my storage.

I spanned 4 x 250GB Luns to a 1TB VMFS Volume.

Everything was working fine until i restarted my ESX Host.

Right now i can see all the 4 Paths to my Storage, but I can see that my VMFS Volume is missing 3 extents.

What can i do? esxcfg-volume -l tells me:

VMFS3 UUID/label: n.a./n.a.

Can mount: No (some extents missing)

Can resignature: No (some extents missing)

Extent name: t10.945445000000000000000000200000004003000000000DF0:1 range: 255744 - 511487 (MB)

Extent name: t10.945445000000000000000000300000005003000000000DF0:1 range: 511488 - 767231 (MB)

Please help! Otherwise lots of hours of work are lost Smiley Sad

Can you see the other LUNs under storage adapters?

PS: do not use extent, is a bad idea and (as you see) you can lose some data (or simply have problem).

Yes i can see the other LUNs - but i have no idea how to re-insert them into the VMFS..?

Is there a VMFS config file where i can simply add the targets/Paths or so?

I don't know if exist.

Just to not loose your data, try to open a ticket to VMware.

When you have a problem you should always create a new post and completely outline the problem with as many details as you can. You can always add a references to other posts to make some things clearer if necessary. The suggestion in this post was to file a service request which, since data is at stake, is probably the right answer.
