Hello,
I have an older PowerEdge server. When I go to download the ESXI Client I see a "server must be 64 bit capable". Should I use a different version? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
What version of ESXi are you running? Do you mean you're trying to download the vSphere Client? ESX/ESXi, since 4.0, has been 64-bit only. Previous versions could run on 32-bit hardware, but since 4.0 only 64-bit is supported.
All the best,
Mike

I would suspect this is related to the processor on the 2950. You don't mention what it is. It needs a 64 bit capable processor. VMware has a utility to check that here;
Then you also need to ensure the proc supports IVT (Intel Virtualization Technology) as mentioned here;
VMware KB: vMotion CPU compatibility requirements for Intel processors

You have the greatest server of all time.
Anyway...what Mike Brown and JLackman said...
Well that's not what either of us said, just trying to answer the question.
