Possible Bug in Guest VMWare Tools Upgrade Process

Just incase this happens to anyone else - tried an interactive VMWare tools upgrade of a guest on a test box running ISA server on Windows 2003 - when it came back up SQL Server Express wouldn't start. Turns out msvcp71.dll was missing. Whilst I did do other stuff my best guess is that the de-installation of the old client removed this dll. Not sure who's "fault" it is but copied it back from another box and all is well.
