Possibility of downgrade esxi 5.5 edition (enterprise to standard)

We have currently 3 licences of vsphere 5 entreprise.

We want to buy another 2 licenses, but in standard edition. (less expensive)

Is itpossible to downgrade the entreprise serial number to standard serial number ?

If not, is it possible to mix differents vSphere editions within a cluster ?

Hi welcome to the communities,

no you can't downgrade your license key to another edition.

Yes it is possible to mix different editions in a cluster.

The cluster will only be able to use features of the lowest version.

So if you mix Enterprise and Standard licenses in a cluster, you won't be able to use DRS for example.
