Poor performance on HP Z820. Any suggestions?

I am observing poor performance with my Z820 running esxi 5.5 I saw in another post, be sure to select non-raid in BIOS.  Could that be the issue?  Or could there be something else to look for?

I can add that after a few hours of exporting OVA's, the server stopped performing the export.  No disk I/O activity at all.

I do not find HP Z820 in HCL list. Do you see it as approved for ESXi 5.5 ?

Could you be more specific? What do you mean by "poor performance"? And what is your configuration (especially storage)?
