I need a point of view of the following scenario; using virtual technology for two security domains e.g. DMZ and Internal Zone. Back in the days, we often seggregate the DMZ and Internal Zone with seperate physical hardware and firewall between these two security domains.
What is the point of view using virtual technology for two security domains? For example; deploying web facing application on DMZ cluster (vsphere) and application and database on different cluster to DMZ but shared the same storage area network (SAN). Is this a trend going forward? or this solution isn't acceptable.
