Platform Services Controller vs vIDM

Can someone help shed some light on the differences between the 2 items?

IF you use the external PSC in vsphere6, do you get the vIDM (Vmware Identity Manager) with that? I am looking at some vRA docs and it references the vIDM and being able to use that technology to extend federated services and SSO into things like o365, Azure, AWS, etc.

IS vIDM and the external PSC one in the same or is it a different product all together?

These are different products, vIDM has been included in vRA 7, before that it was an appliance named identity appliance. PSC is a component of vSphere.
