Physical to virtual (P2V) conversion fails with the error: A general system error occurred

Hi VMware Community,

I'am using ESXI 5.1, and use Vm Converter 5.5.3.

I need convert P2V a powered on Linux machine. But I had a problem when Formatinh the des Partition.

Pls help me to fix.

Please check network side sometimes there might be issue with some of the ports which needs to be open.

Do a Google search on your error. You will find several suggestions to try such as checking SSH, using IP instead of hostnames, checking hosts.allow and hosts.deny, networking, firewall etc.

Can you upload the converter logs? that would help in understanding the cause of failure.

This problem resolved. Beause of my Firewall , when creating VM Hepler, i forgot its IP address, so i don't allow it to Source Machine.
