Phantom Network Portgroup appears after reboot ESXI

Hi Guys,

I think I have encounter a bug in my system.

I currently using 7.0.u2a esxi on my Dell 640.

I have created 2 vswitch; 1 for mgmt kernel IP and 1 for NAS kernel IP.

I have also created 2 port group:

1) PG-MGMT (VLAN 10)

2) PG-NAS (VLAN 20) - assigned to vSwitch-NAS

Before this I did try and create others port-group before like PG-Test1, PG-Test2....

In the end the "testing" portgroup, I removed it from the network portgroup page.

However, when I enter maintenance mode on my esxi and reboot the system.

The "deleted" port group reappears! and the vlan assign to my current port group disappears.

The port group page becomes like:

PG-Test 1 (VLAN 10) *This was deleted

PG-Test 2(VLAN 20) *This was deleted

PG-MGMT (0) *VLAN missing

PG-NAS (0) *VLAN missing

This is the 1st time 1 ever encountered such issue.

Any one can provide some insight? Thanks v much!

Not sure about the missing VLAN IDs.

However, phantom port groups are often caused by VMs with active snapshots, where a snapshot was created while the VM was connected to one of these port groups. Once the snapshots are deleted, the phantom port groups will disappear.
