Password change in the console

Hello,
i try to change my pw in the esxi console.
My keyboard layout is "german".
But if i type e.g. "z" on my german keyboard i get a "y".
Is # a valid character?

Why that?

Dennis

Hello,

few more questions

My keyboard layout is "german".   =>   your keyboard setting in ESXi is set to german or your local keyboard settings on dekstop/ntb is german or both?

are you using?    Net / Java Web Start  / Java Applet

Integrated Remote Console.NET    Java Web Start    Java Applet

what is your iLO version .

and your ESXi version?

The keyboard settings in ESXi is german.
The keyboard settings on my Station (Windows 7) from which i initiate the ILO session is german too.

I'm using the "Integrated Remote Console" from ILO.
With the "Remote Console" and "Remote Serial Console" (Java based) i get a security error and no connection.
My Java Version is 1.8.0.101b13.
ILO Version is 2.29
ESXi Version is 6.0.0 Build 4192238

I connect directly a keyboard and monitor to the server. That works fine. Seems something with ILO.....
