Password change in Console changes login shell

I changed a user password in the vSphere Console and it in turn changed that user's login shell to /bin/false

Is there an advanced option that will honor the existing shell set and not overwrite it?

I tried on my ESX and this did not happened. Are you sure you created the user with the "grant shell access" checked?

From vSphere Client if I attempt to 'Assign Permissions' I do not see an option for 'Grant Shell Access'
