PSOD - how to connect using remote debugger to ESXi 6.0?

Hello,
i got PSOD and at the end there is:
"Remote debugger waiting on serial port com1. "Escape" for local debugger.

Remote debugger activated. Local debugger no longer available"

I have connected com1 to spider lantronix and i have serial in passthrou mode so in theory i should debug.
But when i ssh  to serial nothing displays.

Can some one help? How can I connect to that remote debugger or is there a way to activate local debugger again?

Have you tried the steps in the below kb

Enabling serial-line logging for ESXi 5.x (1033888) | VMware KB

Thanks,

When an ESXi host encounters a critical error and halts with a purple diagnostic screen, it attempts to dump diagnostic information to disk or via the network. If these attempts are unsuccessful due to configuration errors or critical failures, not much troubleshooting information is available.

The purple diagnostic screen contains messages similar to:

  • "Escape" for local debugger.
  • Press Escape to enter local debugger.

In such cases, you can use the ESXi local debugger to review the VMkernel logs to determine the cause of outage.

I believe this applies to 5.5 only but no longer supported for 6.X
