#PF Exception 14 in ESXi 5.5

Help! How do I get a hold of support?

This is on a Dell R720xd with the latest BIOS firmware.

This looks like the well known PSOD caused by E1000 network adapter - looks like you VM "DC01" is affected / caused this.

Here is the KB article related to this;

VMware KB: ESXi 5.x host experiences a purple diagnostic screen mentioning E1000PollRxRing and E1000...

Do you have the option of changing this to a VMXNET3 adapter?

VMware just released a patch for the issue descriped in KB 2048655.

Please download and install this patch to resolve this issue.

Hello,

The Patch is not available for 5.5 yet, it is expected to be in Update 1 of 5.5 which could be by the end of this quarter, Hence the workaround would be to reduce the E1000 usage or disable the RSS inside the guest.
