Hey,
I'm currently doing some research if this is possible with ESXi or not. I'm looking to put a PCI-e SSD (http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-revodrive-x2-pci-express-ssd.html) into either a HP DL380G7 or a HP DL370G6.
Would this be compatible and just be plug and play or does it work with a few tweaks?
Thank you for your time,
Zippit
ESXi disk controller support is quite limited; what controller does this present itself as?
I beleive it has a sandforce FS2200 controller. I'm not entirely sure this is correct.
Not sure that this is a supported option (http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?92777-RevoDrive-3-X2-and-VMware-ESXi) from the research I've been ding so far the only ones that I've found that state any support are RamSan: http://www.ramsan.com/products/pcie-storage/ramsan-70 and FusionIO - http://www.fusionio.com/platforms/iodrive2/ , although neither are listed in the VMWare HCL either so questions would need to be addressed as to how support is provided.
