I have been trying to P2V two Windows 2003 servers over to ESX but everytime I tried it failes. What are some of the step I need to make sure I have setup correctly to P2V? I have notice the firewall is not blocking the traffic and the ports it trys to use is 443 and 902. Do I need to have these port open on the physical ESX server in order to get the P2V from failing?
I set down with the Windows, Firewall, and ESX admins and we all figured out what happen. We need to add the Windows server to that hosts.allow file for it to work.
