Instead of seeing stop email notifications I am seeing receive email notifications option for several forums/communities. I wanted to clean up some of my notifications but I cannot. Any ideas?
Thanks
receive email notifications means you are currently not subscribed, so you should not get notified on any threads you may or may not have been watching.
You may also want to edit your profile ---Preferences and check the "email notification preference" tab.
That's the problem, I am getting the emails even though the system thinks I'm not subscribed or watching. I did check the preferences and settings in "email notification preference" tab as well as under my content.
Select "Profile" in the drop down menu from your login name and then click "Manage email notifications" in the Actions box. There you will be able to see to which contents (discussions, blogs, groups, ...) you subscribed and you will also be able to manage (i.e. delete) notifications.

Good Call André! I couldn't remember in the profile where that was. I betcha that will do it.
Nope, been there too and while it does have some of my notifications it does not have the ones I'm looking for - As an example: I received an email with subject "[Orchestrator] New message: "Find External Network from Org Network" [4r6hv-d0nd-18c84]" and located that message in the VMTN then drilled up and down through the entire level including all the various tabs such as Documents, Discussions and so on but the options are all set to "Receive email" or "Follow This" - When I look in the location under Profile that you suggest this message nor many of the others I am getting emails for is listed.
Just to make sure. Did you check for notifications in all "Filter" items of the drop down menu?
André
Just checked again - even selected each individual drop-down as well with no luck, thanks for the effort though!
you may want to send an email to community_mgr@vmware.com to see if they can offer assistance.
