Openfiler VM with 2 virtuals NICs has no network connectivity

Hello,

I am new to Openfiler.

I have a vSphere 4.1 environment.

I have setup two virtual networks (LAN1 and LAN2) connected to two different physical network adapters of the ESX host.

My goal is to create a virtual NAS that can be accessed from both virtual network.

First at all, I have created a OF VM with 2 virtual network adapters (one connected to LAN1 and the other to LAN2). Both of these virtual network adapter has a static ip address.

However, from the OF VM, I cannot ping any other VM within LAN1 or LAN2 and vice versa.

Then I have created a OF VM with one virtual network adaptor (connected to LAN1).

At this step, from the OF VM, I can ping any machine within LAN1 and vice versa.

Then, I have shut down the VM and add a second virtual network adapter connected to LAN2.

I have started the VM, enabled the second network interface and configured a static ip address.

However, from the OF VM, impossible to ping any other VM within LAN2 and vice versa.

About the LAN1, the network connectivity is working properly.

Did somebody has an idea about these behaviour?

How to setup properly a OF VM with two virtual NICs?

Thank you for you help.
