One of my VM console is blank and I am able to ping that VM

Hi Friends,

I have ESXi 5.1 and one of my guest VM as "Windows Server 2008 R2" suddenly I am not getting console of this VM only and I am getting PING reply with delay. But I am getting console for other VM.

FYR: I have attached screenshot also please help me to resolve this issue.

HI Muhammed,

1. Can you check if you can resolve the Hostname of the ESXi on which the vm with the issue is running, from the server where you have installed vsphere client?

I had a similar issue in my environment.

This can happen because of many reasons.

Which version are you running? There were some issues with vSphere 5.0 and black consoles, but this can happen for a number of reasons as Abhilash mentioned.

please check port 902 is opened from your v sphere client v center to esxi host.  and this image shows u have accessed the console with two different credential users simultaneously .  Simultaneously you can make only one connection in console.
