We had a power outage and i have one ovf template that will not start up. This has been a running vm in our vsphere 5 server. The server shows inaccessible. I know how to re-register a vm but the template does not have a .vmx file to do this.
the template should have a .vmtx extension. You would add to inventory a template the same way you would a VM. Can you right click on the VM in question and remove from inventory, then browse the datastore and add it inventory?
