I have recently installed OMSA 6.1 on both my ESXi 4.0 U1 server and a
Windows XP SP3 machine. I also tried a CentOS 5.5 machine for the
managed node. Whenever I log in to the OMSA on the ESXi server, it
generally connects just fine, however if I try to visit the Storage
on the left the page will act like it is loading and just sit there and
say "Waiting for hostname..." or "Opening page https://server:1311/servlet/Da..." and sit there for basically an infinite
amount of time. If I close the window and try to connect to the Managed
Node again so I can log in, it will not load, it will just hang there.
Other than that, i can use OMSA just fine. No other issues as far as viewing other system information. I would just use the built-in monitoring with vSphere, but unfortunately I my RAID card is Perc 4e, so no luck there. It's actually almost as if it is crashing the ESXi instance of OSMA all together, becuase once it goes down I cannot connect from anyother machines I have OMSA on.
Anyone ran in to anything like this before? Like I said, I can log in
and see the page for a brief moment, but if I try to visit anything it
hangs up.
