Not able to load additonal NIC driver using ESX4i

Quick Question on ESX4i:

Is it possible to load the additional NIC driver during the installation of ESXi 4.0?

VMWare ESXi 4.0 is unable to load a default NIC driver. below is the error thrown while installing.

anyway to add the nIC driver manually?

Thanks,

kamal.

If you are using the latest ESXi update 1 it contains all the supported drivers. If you don't have a NIC on the Hardware Compatibility List then either replace the NIC with one from the list or visit http://vm-help.com to see if there is any supported workaround for your nic.

You would have to add it to oem.tgz and it would be an unsupported method - http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/customize_oem_tgz.php. What was the error you were getting and what sort of NIC is it?
