Not able to cennect simulator from ESXi 5.5

Hi All,

We are facing an issue providing internet to the VCops application residing in ESXi 5.5 installed on our system having Windows Server 2008 operating system.

We require this setup for connecting VCE intelligence adapter on VCops to access online simulator of VCE vBlock application.

Currently windows machine is provided internet via usb datacard .We are able to connect vBlock on browser with link below.

https://vblock100sim.visionsimulators.vce.com:8443/fm/vblocks

ESXi 5.5 is connected to the LAN. LAN is accessible on ESXi. Tested using ping functionality.

Pinging simulator IP (184.106.90.248)- for https://vblock100sim.visionsimulators.vce.com:8443/fm/vblocks from ESXi

Result of the ping

We are unsure how could we detect the availability of internet connection on the ESXI server.(Internet via a USB datacard)

Could you provide any suggestions for testing end to end, adapter-simulator connection.

Regards

One question here, Do you want to connect your USB datacard directly to your ESXi. As per my knowledge you cannot connect your USB data card to ESXi or vCops in order to use internet. The main problem here is, the driver provided with USB card will not support for this platforms.
