No n/w on new VM

OK, so I've finally got a running Debian vm on ESXi 6.5

However, it has no n/w access. Looking at the interfaces file it is correctly configured for DHCP.

The UI shows 'No network information' alongside the Networking item.

I guess this is expected behaviour that needs config, but I can't find the answer anywhere.

it's hard to help without any details. What I would suggest at this time is that you follow the steps in Troubleshooting virtual machine network connection issues (1003893) | VMware KB  to see whether they already help you solving the issue.

Cheers, I'll work through that, but should everything work first time or do I need to config any n/w stuff when I create a new VM?

Restarted the VM and it's now working. Happy days!
