New to ESXi 5

I am new to VMWare and have installed the 60 day trial version and so far I'm impressed, but I tried to  comvert a P2V with the VMWare utility but it fails.  Can I convert a P2V with the trail version?  If so, then why does the app just disappear after entering the source server & destination server?

Welcome to the Community,

the current version of the Converter Utility has an issue with ESXi 5.1 as the target (http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2033315). A fixed version should hopefully be available soon.
