New to ESX 4. Where did the "F2" configuration, from 3.x, go?

Remember in ESX 3.5, at the actual server you could hit F2, enter a name/password and get to many configuration items? Where did that go in ESX 4? I need to change a NIC config. I cannot get to the server via the VI client and I don't want to re-install. Any help is much appreciated.

The "F2" option is only in ESXi. Since there is not a service console, the F2 option allows you to make system settings.
