New VMs Not HA protected

  • Newly deployed VMs are not HA protected.  Need to re-start HA on the cluster to fix it.

Vmware support  is useless  so far. Case opened for more than 2 months and not yet resolved.

If anyone had this issue and got it fixed, please help

This sounds like what I've seen before, a cosmetic issue only and is resolved in an update. Please see this to verify: Virtual machine status changes from Protected to Unprotected (2020082) | VMware KB

Thanks for the link. Our situation is slightly different.

In our case the VMs are actually unprotected.

I would still check if this is a UI issue or something more important by following the instructions on the below link. Let us know the results.
