I have installed ESXI 6.0 within Hyper-V . Erverything worked fine, till today. The host was configured with static IP address and access to the web console was working. today I could not reach webconsole anymore. I checked on the shell and the ip was still correct. Afterwards I switched to dhcp on the management network. The host got a new ip address, but still, web console is not accessable. Even pinging from the shell to the dhcp server fails. Does anybody know how to troubleshoot?
First of all ESXI networking should be static and not dynamic to avoid issues. In your case before assigning dynamic IP, it must be troubleshooted for not working with static IP. What is the DHCP IP esxi is acquiring by the way !
