Network or Failover testing

Hi members

I have 2 ESXi 5.0 and vCenter also 5.0.

ESXi installed on Dell Poweredge R710 which have 8 NICs

So far i have done all the installation of ESxi and configured the 8 NIC, configured as cluster, configured as  HA.

Then everything ok, testing vmotions successful....testing shutdown one esxi...the vm can move to other esxi. I have present to my manager but his still want me to do from the network testing.

So, i plan to unplug the LAN cable one by based on network setting that i have done before. So far we have management, vmotions and vmware.

Please see my excel sheet for my planing for this testing purpose. Here i really never experience on this, I just assume this the way.

Please advice.

You can make the test by remove the cables one by one.

Also, if you have more switches in a redound way you can test an entire switch failure

Failover plan looks fine to me, If your uplinks are connected to more than 1 switch make sure to test the switch failover as well
