Hi everybody,
I bought a BCM5751 NIC because on the compatibility site of VMWare they told that this card is compatible with Esxi 6.7 https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=sptg
The card is listed in the hardware and in lspci command.
I use the correct version of tg3 drivers.
The think i found strange is that the module tg3 is not active and load at boot. I have to active it and even if i doe, it doesn't find any NIC compatible.
For information, i use a classic workstation for homelab, i'm not using a server.
If somoene already faced this problem, please help me ^^'
Thank you
Hello.

Hello.
the broadcom netxtreme bcm5751 card is usually provided by server manufacturers like IBM Lenovo, Dell or HP. Can you please indicate the p/n or FRU of the card (a screenshot of the card label if possible).
Execute the following commands and get the results
# lspci -v | grep -A1 -i ethernet
# esxcli software vib list |grep tg3
# esxcli system module list | grep tg3
If the above commands show that we have the tg3 driver then we can try the following
# esxcfg-module -e tg3
restart the ESXi host
verify with
# escli network nic list
