Network address translation is a method of mapping an IP address space into another by modifying network address information in the IP header of packets while they are in transit across a traffic routing device. Choice ADVANTAGE

Should your VMs really be connected to VLAN0 as the first image shows?

If they should be on either VLAN 1919 or 1920, I think you need to add 'Virtual Machine Port for a Standard Switch' in the 'Add Networking' button for both those VLANs on vSwitch0. Then go to edit settings on the VM and make sure the virtual network adapter is connected to the correct VLAN.

Also, what are the settings on your physical switch that this host is connected to. If it's cisco kit, it would need to be a trunk port & allow the VLANs you reference.

Also, do you have correct subnet & gateway set in your VMs O/Ss?

Hope you get it sorted. 🙂

First of all thank you for your response, second, this is the first time setting up a ESXi network. In VmWare Desktop edition i would simply set up NAT then make some port forwards (don't know how is it possible here)

Lets take from instance test2_win VM

Vlan 1919 has the ip of the main server, don't understand why.

Also, do you have correct subnet & gateway set in your VMs O/Ss

First choose DHCP then i tried ip 192.168.0.50 , mask 255.255.255.0, gateway was 192.168.0.1 and also tried machine ip. Now i don't know what IP configuration i should set up in VM and where to see what subnet / gateway i should use, where to see that? I also tried 192.168.1.50.

I tried multiple subnet/gateway, did not worked out.

I wonder if any speed is lost in this process ... from what i know vmware ESXi is using direct hardware resources, what do you think, is possible that some bandwidth is lost? I have 1Gbps connection.
