Network Failover not working

We have a number of hosts on vmware 5.1

On vswitch0 there are two physical NICs connected to the same vlan, there is also a VMotion network and management network. configured on this switch.

However, if one of the two physical network fails then the failover doesn't occur and the host is not reachable.

See attached files for more info.

What would be causing this issue?

Thanks.

did you check if both VMNIC0 and VMNIC1 has the access to management vlan 10.3.1.X.

try this, configure management network to use vmnic0 and see if it reachable over the network.

configure management network to use vmnic1 and see if it reachable over the network.

if the above works, then failover should also work. If not we need to take a look at logs during the failover.

Hi ,

Yes, they are on the same network, and we did test this out already and the above tests worked fine, but the failover didn't. How would I provide you with the fail-over logs? where are they ?

Thanks
