Need help in RDM

We run running windows server 2008 on a Blade server which is mapped with SAN for storage

Due to some issue with the hardware we are getting blue screen error when we boot the machine using the blade.

Is it possible to use the existing SAN disk using vmware with Raw disk mapping.

Please share your views . Thanks in Advance

Depend whether the RDM is for the data or for the guest OS. If this is for your guest OS, you may need to takle a bunch of driver issues later once you boot it directly from SAN, at least this is what I faced last time when we did the same for redhat virtual machine. For the data, shouldn't be any issue at all.

as longs as the RDM LUN is presentable to the guest OS from SAN ..I dont see any major issues accessing the LUN which was once attached to a standalone host .....
