Need help attaching a SAN 10TB volume

I have an Equallogic PS4000e SAN. When I had a physical server 2008 I was able to attach a 6 TB volume to the server and saw all 6 TB using the iscsi intitiator in Server 2008. I now have a virtual server 2008 and I need to attach a 10 TB volume and see it as the whole thing to the virtual server. I can add 2 Tb using the VMFS 5 but not larger than that. I have the network config setup in VMware for ISCSI. I am not a fan of spanning multiple disks etc. and would rather it was all presented to the VM as one unit.

Do I need to use RDM for this for larger disks than 2TB?

thanks

Yes, currently only RDMs in physical (pass-through) mode support more than ~2TB (up to ~64TB).
