Need help! First time Vsphere user.

Hello,

I'm trying to setup Vsphere and so far I have installed ESX 4.0, I'm having trouble trying to connect to the web service via another windows box. I'm able to ping the IP address to the server so i'm not sure what I did/am doing wrong here. I've been following the installation instructions but now I'm stuck trying to download the vsphere client. can someone please help me out her?

you should be able to put the ip address of the host into a web browser with /ui on the end. Like this:

192.168.10.12/ui

That should get you to the user interface.

I was researching further and found out there was a compatibility issue with windows 7 so i hopped onto an XP box and was able to connect.
