As long as you have good enough storage behind it what are the recommendations or preferences for using the nvme or paravirtual adapter as a default.
I had the same question and I found this limitation on using NVME controllers and disks:

So anytime you want to expand your NVME disk, or add a disk to a VM, you either have to reload the NVME drivers or reboot to see the added space or new disk.
I, too, would like to know this. I see a use-case for vNVMe as a development target. I don't understand the use-case for general virtual computing. Does it outperform pvscvsi? If so, in which situations and by how much? I cannot recall reading any VMware guidance on this topic.
My own benchmarking suggests the performance is slightly worse to slightly better in various scenarios but I don't know about CPU utilization.
