I have got new system for my vmware virtualization lab but I got an error NIC is not supported by ESXi.
My system configuraiton is as below:
Dell Optiplex 990
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30GHz 3.30GHz
RAM : 4 GB
Which NIC I should buy which is easily available in market?

Realtec onboard NICs supported in vSphere 5 as for now and compare to other Products they are the Cheapest One.
Realtek 8168
Realtek 8169
Realtek 8111E

you can go look at http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=io to search for supported devices. Select ESXi 5 Update 1, select "Network" as I/O device and you will get a huge list of supported NICs from all Vendors.

Since you are trying to run on a whitebox setup, check Whitebox HCL which list set of system which are tested, If you are looking for server check VMware HCL
If you are planning to setup a lab for leraning purpose alternative you can run the setup on VMware Workstation, Check Building the Ultimate vSphere Lab
