I've experienced this same issue about 3 times this month. The issue is that the I get an event in the event log for all my hosts that reside on one particular NAS. The message indicates that the lock protecting it was lost and this is most likely due to the storage having underlying problems, resulting in the VM getting powered on at another ESX host.
I haev been checking out the NAS (Sun 7410) and nothing appears to be wrong with it. Networking is currently looking into network related incidents. What else can I be looking into to troubleshoot this issue. Can I modify NFS.LockRenewMaxFailureNumber or any other of the NFS locking parameters to make it less prone to this type of failure?
