NFS Datastore

I am trying to mount a western digital sharespace 4TB NAS to my ESXi4 server via NFS. I am able to get the NAS to mount and display as a datastore and I can view the data in the datastore correctly, but for some reason the connection is read only and I am unable to write any data to the drive from ESX. I can write to this share correctly from windows when I authenticate to the NAS. Does anyone have any idea how I can configure the permissions on this to work right? Western digital support was absolutely no help. Everything in the web interface of the NAS is set to allow full access to the share via NFS. I have SSH access to the NAS so I can try some commands but I'm not a unix guy so I really don't know much about how to configure it.

The NFS export needs the 'no_root_squash' option set (see here).

That did the trick! I think a reboot is required because I tried this change last night but it didn't work. Did the same today but rebooted.

I love being able to clone VMs to my NAS unit!
