We have recently placed a NetApp in our environment and we are trying to get it to direct connect to an HP DL380 Gen9 by 10G SFP connection. On the ESXi host we have two vSwitch configured (10.140.2.41 and 10.140.2.42) , one going to each Filer. The problem that we are running into is that we can’t ping the primary filer from the ESXi host however we can ping the secondary filer without any issues. The NETApp is able to ping both vSwitch on the Host without any issues. If we change one of the vSwitch to another IP (10.141.2.42) we are able to ping both filers without any problems.
What could be causing this issue?
