My vm cannot power on - Provisioned space and free space on datastore

My total storage capacity is 6TB .

provisioned space is now 3TB

and free space is = 3TB

Now . My vms cannot start and show there is not enough space on storage to power on the vm although there is 3TB free space on storage. What is the issue ?

Does the vmware.log file contain details about this issue?
Does df -h from the command line also show 3 TB free disk space on the datastore?

I assume that you do not have any special settings in place, like redirected swap locations, etc.
