My VM server on ESXI 5.5 keeps turning itself off

Hello,

Several days ago, my ESXi host 5.5.0, suddenly went down due to power failure; Now only a particular VM server keeps turning itself off after I restart it. The below error is example of what I get in the events tab:

AppSever05 on ESXHost1.domain.com in ha-datacenter is powered off by "user"

I don't even have that "user" created in the permissions tab, so don't know where that profile comes from...

To try to resolve this issue, I applied the following updates to the host:
- update-from-esxi5.5-5.5_update02.zip

- update-from-esxi5.5-5.5_update03.zip

The updates did not resolve this issue.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Hello Mike,

It would be great if you could share more logs on your issue. Especially /var/log/hostd.log and /var/log/vpxa.log which points your issue along with time stamp.
